Flute professor at the Conservatorio Superior de Música Rafael Orozco de Córdoba, Saleta regularly teaches courses and masterclasses at numerous institutions across Spain. These include the Conservatorio Superior de Música de Navarra, the Conservatorio Superior de Málaga, as well as the professional conservatories in Ferrol, Lugo, Sevilla, Córdoba, Lucena, Úbeda, Jaén and Cádiz, among others. As an invited professor, she also conducts masterclasses at the Escola Superior de Música e Artes in Oporto, in addition to teaching on various summer courses and working with youth orchestras—having collaborated on several occasions with the Orquesta Joven de Córdoba.
She began her flute studies in Ourense, where she completed the Intermediate Level with an Extraordinary Award while studying under Claudia Walker. Subsequently, she obtained the Superior Diploma at the Conservatorio in Santiago de Compostela, and then continued her studies in Barcelona with Magdalena Martínez. In 1999, she secured a grant from the Fundación Pedro Barrié de la Maza to continue her studies in The Hague with Emily Beynon, and in 2003 she moved to London where she completed a Master’s degree at the Royal Academy of Music, funded by a scholarship from the Caixa Galicia Foundation, under the direction of William Bennett and Patricia Morris.
Saleta was a finalist in the Concurso de Jóvenes Intérpretes de Juventudes Musicales de España and secured second prize in the J.J. Brough Award at the Royal Academy of Music. With the Quinteto Ethos, she won first prize at the XX Concurso de Música de Cámara Mirabent i Magrans in Sitges and at the XV Certamen de Jóvenes Intérpretes Pedro Bote, and she has taken part in festivals such as the Festival Joaquín Turina in Sevilla, the International Segovia Festival and the Liceo Cycle in Salamanca.
Throughout her career, Saleta has performed with youth orchestras such as the Joven de Galicia (OEPO), the Joven de Cataluña (JONC) and the Joven de España (JONDE).
She also collaborates with professional orchestras such as the Orquesta Sinfónica de Galicia, the Real Orquesta Sinfónica de Sevilla, the Filarmonía de Galicia, the Orquesta de Córdoba and the Filarmónica de Málaga, where she has worked as a solo flautist for two seasons.
