Vicente Ramón Ferrer Enguídanos, born in Valencia, began his musical training with Miguel Morellá before continuing at the Joaquín Rodrigo Conservatory under Vicente Llimerá, earning his professor of oboe diploma with distinction. He pursued further studies at the Superior Conservatory of Málaga under René Martín, later expanding his training with Eduardo Martínez at the University of Alcalá de Henares.
Seeking further refinement, he completed postgraduate studies at the Liceo Conservatory in Barcelona with Juan Manuel Lumbreras, followed by advanced studies at the University of Valencia. In 2009, he moved to Switzerland, working with Massimiliano Salmi in Lugano. His academic journey continued at the Hochschule der Künste Bern, where he earned a Master’s in Performance under Jaime González, Matthias Arter, and Katharina Arfken. He later completed a Master’s in Oboe Pedagogy, undertaking an Erasmus programme at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater “Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy” in Leipzig, where he studied with Nick Deutsch and Gundel Jannemann-Fischer. Additionally, he received monthly lessons for a year with Domenico Orlando in Italy.
He has participated in numerous specialised courses with distinguished oboists such as Salvador Tudela, Salvador Mir, Washington Barella, Thomas Indermühle, Andreas Wittman, Lucas Macías, Alexei Ogrintchouk, Emanuel Abbühl, Alfredo Bernardini, Ingo Goritzki, Yeon-Hee Kwak, and Bart Schneemann, further strengthening his international expertise.
His experience as principal oboist includes work with the Joven Orquesta de la Comunidad Valenciana, the Burgos Symphony Orchestra, and Collegium Musicum Basel. He has also collaborated with leading orchestras, including the Berner Symphonieorchester, Camerata Bern, the Maggio Musicale Fiorentino Orchestra, and the Bilbao Symphony Orchestra, as well as various ensembles across Spain, Switzerland, Germany, and Italy.
In chamber music, he has performed with the Trío de Cañas Arundonax and groups such as Moonwinds and Quinteto Dioniso, the latter as a resident ensemble at the Ticino Musica Festival in Switzerland.
Currently, he serves as professor of oboe at the Superior Conservatory of Music “Rafael Orozco” in Córdoba, blending his pedagogical dedication with a distinguished performing career and an unwavering commitment to musical evolution.
