Manos Kitsikopoulos, originally from Greece, is widely recognised as one of the most versatile musicians and pianists in the country. He pursued his studies at the prestigious Royal Academy of Music in London, where he had the privilege of learning under the renowned pianist Joanna MacGregor. During his time at the academy, Manos earned a Master of Arts in Piano Performance with distinction, as well as the prestigious DipRAM and the Artist Diploma (equivalent to a doctorate-level qualification at Level 8).
Throughout his studies at the Royal Academy, he received strong support from esteemed institutions such as the Onassis Foundation, the Athena Scholarship, and the Life Action Trust. As a highly versatile musician, he excels in performing an extensive repertoire as well as in improvisation and musical composition.
Highlights of his current season include his collaboration with the Region de Murcia Symphony Orchestra, where he performed Beethoven's Fourth Piano Concerto under the baton of Virginia Martínez. Additionally, his piano recital titled "Piano in Love," held at the Athens Megaron Concert Hall, was a sold-out success. Manos has also showcased his talent by accompanying screenings of silent film classics such as The Battleship Potemkin, Sunrise, and Nosferatu, for which he composed and performed original music live at the Athens Megaron Concert Hall.
Throughout his career, he has received numerous prestigious awards, including the DipRAM Prize from the Royal Academy of Music in 2013, the Lloyd Hartley Prize in 2012, the Dorothy Briant Prize in 2015, and the First Grand Prize at the ClaMo International Piano Competition in Spain in 2019. In December 2016, he was honoured with the "Eleni Mykoniou" Award from the Academy of Athens.
His musical career has taken him to prominent stages around the world, including the Royal Festival Hall, Kensington Palace, the Royal Opera House, and Dukes Hall in the United Kingdom; the Odeon of Herodes Atticus and the Athens Megaron Concert Hall in Greece; and the Victor Villegas Auditorium in Spain, among many others.
